  1. Upon sale of product, an FarmTrade.com logistics coordinator will contact each seller to schedule material pickup.

  2. Seller (shipper) will print a uniform straight bill of lading from the Farmtrade.com site to send with the shipment.
    1. THREE COPIES (3) of the bill of lading will need to be printed and given to the driver on the day of the pickup.
    2. As all of FarmTrade.com's shipments are blind (the seller does not know the buyer and vice-versa), the originating carrier's terminal will be indicated as the consignee. Please note that many of our major carriers work with smaller, local carriers to service vast portions of the country. These "agent" carriers will generally identify themselves as such at the time of pickup. If they do not, or if there is any confusion, please call FarmTrade.com at 877-497-2436 ext. 3 or the carrier terminal number listed on the BOL immediately before refusing a truck.
    3. Shipper's own bills of lading are not to be used.

To print a bill of lading, follow the instructions below:

    1. Click on the Shipping Documents and Procedures link from the Your Profile page.
    2. Click on Seller Bills of Lading (Chemicals) link.
    3. Enter the pickup date that was pre-arranged with the FarmTrade.com logistics coordinator in the box at the top of the page. Press the submit button. All bills of lading needed for that day will be listed.
    4. Click on the magnifying glass icon next to each transaction number to view the bills of lading, and then use your browser's print button to print three copies.
  3. Seller (shipper) is responsible for:
    1. Correctness and completeness of all shipper's documentation required for transporting hazardous materials
    2. Usage of proper packaging
    3. Correctness and completeness of seller supplied transportation information
    4. Application of appropriate labels and placards
    5. Removal of all old shipper labels [Note: an accessorial charge may apply if the carrier is required to do this due to the negligence of the seller/shipper]
    6. Adherence to the FarmTrade.com User Agreement

  4. Seller (shipper) will be available to load carrier at appointed time and location.
